Description
Proud Mary Wild Flower is a colourful, polychrome edition featuring a floral design that instantly brings to mind wildflower bouquets. The pattern is inspired by antique floral tiles from the Westraven collection and has been reimagined by Royal Delft as a fresh, modern decoration using screen printing. Compact in size at 17 centimetres, it's the perfect eye-catching accent in any home.
- The only Proud Mary with a polychrome floral design
- Attractively priced thanks to the screen printing technique
- Great to mix and match with other Proud Mary's from the collection.
Proud Mary is a modern tribute to Mary II, the wife of stadtholder Willem III, who was renowned during the Dutch Golden Age as a collector of Delftware. This historical inspiration sparked the idea of giving Royal Delft's iconic Delfts Blauw a modern twist. The figurine consists of four interchangeable parts: the head, the collar, the bodice and the skirt. Proud Mary was designed by Koens & Middelkoop, and the Delfts Blauw design was subsequently hand-finished by the designers and master painters of Royal Delft.
