Buy Delft Blue Christmas baubles at The Christmas Shop
Delft Blue Christmas baubles are porcelain baubles in the classic blue-and-white colour scheme, hand-painted or decorated with a delicate transfer design. At The Christmas Shop, you can choose from pieces by Heinen Delfts Blauw and Royal Delft, featuring motifs of Dutch landscapes, canal-side houses, flowers and windmills. Prices range from an affordable bauble costing around eight euros to an exclusive, hand-painted showpiece. The deep cobalt blue makes every bauble an eye-catcher, whether you’re decorating a whole Delft Blue tree or adding a few accents to your existing decorations.
Christmas baubles from Heinen Delft Blue
Heinen Delft Blue represents the more accessible side of Delft Blue. The porcelain Christmas baubles often feature a Dutch scene: a landscape with a windmill, canal-side houses, or a bouquet of flowers. Heinen Delft Blue also offers modern Christmas baubles, such as those featuring birds or a kissing couple. The matching stars and pendants form part of the wider range of Heinen Delft Blue Christmas decorations, allowing you to create a cohesive look.
Christmas baubles from Royal Delft
Royal Delft is renowned for its hand-painted, exclusive Delft Blue pottery from the city’s oldest working pottery factory. Each Christmas bauble is hand-decorated in Delft, a craft that has been passed down from painter to painter for over three centuries. The motifs are what make them special: View of Delft by Johannes Vermeer, the Amsterdam canals, Miffy in Delft Blue and Henk Schiffmacher’s distinctive Royal Blue Tattoo. Each and every one is a collector’s item that will last for years.
Combining Delft Blue porcelain
Delft Blue porcelain baubles look their best against a backdrop of muted tones. Hang them alongside white, silver and the occasional gold accent, and the cobalt blue will immediately stand out. If you want to extend the theme throughout the whole tree, combine them with Delft Blue Christmas ornaments, such as dogs, cats and nutcrackers. For a more varied tree, mix them with glass baubles or browse our full range of Christmas tree decorations.
Delft Blue Christmas baubles as a keepsake
A Delft Blue Christmas bauble is a keepsake that will be cherished for years to come. The quintessentially Dutch blue-and-white design also makes for a much-loved gift for anyone who loves Holland, whether they’re an expat, a collector or a Christmas enthusiast. In our shop in the centre of Delft, you can unwrap each one before making your choice; if you order online, every porcelain bauble will arrive carefully packaged.
