Disney at The Christmas Shop
Many of us still remember the first time we saw a Disney film. That magic never really went away, and that's exactly why a Disney Christmas is, and remains, so popular. It combines two things that give most people a warm feeling: the festive season and the characters they have known all their lives. At The Christmas Shop we have put together a large and growing range of Disney Christmas decorations, from affordable Christmas ornaments to special collector's items.
Disney was founded in 1923 by Walt Disney and his brother Roy Oliver Disney. What started as a small animation studio grew into one of the most recognisable brands in the world. Over the years, the Disney universe expanded considerably. In 2009, for example, Disney acquired Marvel Entertainment, bringing the Avengers and Spider-Man into the Disney family as well. In 2012 came the takeover of George Lucas's Lucasfilm, including the rights to Star Wars. That makes today's Disney Christmas collection a vast universe, from classic princesses to Jedi knights.
Disney Christmas ornaments, nutcrackers and Christmas stockings
The Disney range at The Christmas Shop is spread across several categories. The largest is our selection of Disney Christmas baubles and ornaments, with more than 180 products from brands such as Disney itself, Kurt S. Adler, Gisela Graham, Hallmark and Inge Glas. All the ornaments come with a hook and can be hung straight on the Christmas tree or Christmas wreath.
Alongside the Christmas ornaments, you'll also find Disney nutcrackers by Kurt S. Adler, Disney Christmas stockings for the mantelpiece and Disney tree toppers for the top of the tree. That way, you can give your Christmas tree the full Disney treatment from top to toe.
Which Disney theme suits you?
The range is so broad that you can find something for almost every character or film. We've organised the ornaments by theme, so you can easily find what you're looking for.
Mickey & Minnie Mouse are the most classic Disney characters and a safe choice if you want a timeless Disney Christmas tree. Think of Mickey on skis, Donald Duck with presents and Goofy in a Christmas outfit.
Alice in Wonderland is popular with people who like their Disney Christmas decorations a little quirkier. The Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts look wonderful on a Christmas tree and are much loved by collectors too.
Frozen is, with its wintry setting, really the most Christmassy Disney theme of all. Elsa, Anna and Olaf are a natural fit for the festive season, which also makes them popular Christmas presents for children.
Aladdin brings a slightly more exotic feel to the Christmas tree, with the familiar colours and characters from the film.
Winnie the Pooh appeals to every generation, from people who grew up with the original books and films to parents who are now introducing their children to Pooh, Tigger and Piglet.
Disney Christmas decorations as a gift
Disney Christmas ornaments are also popular as Christmas presents. They're compact, well packaged and always a lovely surprise for most Disney fans. Especially if someone has spent years building a collection around a particular theme, a new ornament is a gift that finds its place straight away.
