Buying Disney Christmas ornaments at The Christmas Shop
A Disney Christmas ornament is a hanging figure moulded in resin or plastic in the shape of a film character, finished with a loop or hook. Because the material is cast in a mould rather than painted onto a round bauble, the faces, colours and poses come out far sharper than on a standard bauble.
The collection is sorted by film and by character, which saves you scrolling through two hundred products to find one Donald Duck. Disney supplies most of the range, alongside pieces from Kurt S. Adler, Gisela Graham, Hallmark and Inge Glas Manufaktor. If you are after something beyond the Disney universe, have a look at our wider Christmas ornaments as well.
Disney baubles by film and character
Five film worlds are popular enough to have a page of their own.
- Mickey & Minnie Mouse covers the classics: Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto and Chip and Dale.
- Alice in Wonderland suits a slightly quirkier tree, with the Cheshire Cat and the Mad Hatter.
- Aladdin brings Agrabah to your branches, complete with Jasmine, the Genie and the magic lamp.
- Frozen sits naturally alongside winter and remains a firm favourite with children.
- Winnie the Pooh appeals across generations, from Tigger and Piglet to Eeyore.
Plenty of sought after characters sit in the range without a page of their own. Stitch and Angel in Christmas hats, Jack Skellington and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Buzz Lightyear, Chef Remy, and Snow White with the Evil Queen.
Resin, plastic or glass: what Disney ornaments are made of
Resin and plastic make up most of the collection, and that is a deliberate choice. Both are light, they survive a fall from the lower branches, and they hold fine detail such as the glitter on Belle's gown. If you prefer something more traditional, there are glass Disney baubles too, including mouth blown pieces from Inge Glas Manufaktor, the German glassworks for which we are the largest buyer in the Benelux.
Disney ornaments in your wreath and around the house
The tree is not the only place these figures work. Since every ornament comes on a hanger, it fits just as easily into a Christmas wreath on the door, onto a decorative branch in a vase, or tied to the ribbon of a present. To carry the theme further, there are Disney tree toppers and Disney nutcrackers in the range.
Disney ornaments as a gift and for collectors
A Disney ornament rarely misses as a present for a fan. It is compact, it arrives well packaged, and it stays visible in the house long after the wrapping is gone. Collectors tend to watch Kurt S. Adler, who releases detailed and occasionally limited series around a single film. You can also see the ornaments in person at our Christmas shop in Delft.
