Buying tree decorations at The Christmas Shop
Tree decorations cover everything you hang in or on your Christmas tree: baubles, ornaments, toppers, sprigs and garlands. At The Christmas Shop, Christmas runs year-round, in our Delft shop and online. You'll find over three thousand decorations, carefully chosen from brands we've worked with for years, like Inge Glas Manufaktor, Vondels and Heinen Delft Blue. Handmade alongside affordable, classic alongside playful: more than enough variety to make your tree your own.
Baubles, ornaments, toppers and sprigs
The basis of any decorated tree is a set of baubles. A solid colour or a matched set keeps things calm and gives the other pieces room to shine. Build on that with Christmas ornaments: the figures, animals, food and quirky shapes you see again every year. Finish with a topper, a few festive sprigs tucked between the baubles for depth, and a garland weaving through the branches if you like.
From Scandi white to a full colour explosion
Pick a style first and collecting becomes easier. The Christmas Shop puts together over ten themed collections each season, ranging from calm and quiet to bold and busy. Nordic Serenity is white and pale wood with stars and simple shapes. Forest Fantasy leans into the woodland with mushrooms, pinecones and animals. For something traditional, Golden Elegance pairs gold with deep red and forest green. And if you want your tree to shout, look at Christmas Carnival or Colourful Christmas.
Mouth-blown glass ornaments from Inge Glas
The difference between a regular tree and a memorable one often sits in the glass ornaments. Inge Glas Manufaktor from the Bavarian town of Neustadt has been mouth-blowing and hand-painting each ornament for over a hundred years. The detail gives it away: the stem of a mushroom, the glitter on an aubergine, the fold of a ballerina's skirt. No two ornaments are exactly alike. Alongside Inge Glas, our collection includes glass pieces from Vondels in the Netherlands and Heinen Delft Blue.
Disney, Harry Potter and other classics
For anyone who blends Christmas with a favourite film or book, The Christmas Shop has a dedicated corner. The Disney range covers everything from Mickey and Minnie to Stitch, Frozen and Winnie the Pooh, as glass baubles and detailed figure ornaments. Hogwarts fans will find an extensive Harry Potter line with house-coloured baubles, ornaments of well-known characters, and small nods to the books. Star Wars and Marvel & DC round things out. Great as gifts too, since most people have a favourite from childhood.
