Buy Pluto Design at The Christmas Shop
At The Christmas Shop you'll find the tealight carousels by Pluto Design in gold and silver tones, from Christmas angels to cheerful frogs. Each one comes in its own little box, so it's ready to give the moment you buy it. That makes it a lovely small present for a neighbour, a colleague or your host at Christmas dinner. Can't choose between gold and silver? Pop into our shop in Delft and see them side by side.
A Pluto tealight carousel is a spinning candle holder by the Swedish brand Pluto Design. You place a single tealight underneath. The warm air rises, sets the fan wheel at the top in motion and the figures turn along with it. Once the tealight goes out, the carousel comes to a stop. No plugs or batteries needed.
Swedish angel chimes
Pluto Design is a Swedish design company from Gothenburg that creates gifts and home accessories. In Sweden, a spinning candle holder like this is called an änglaspel, known in English as angel chimes. Pluto gives the tradition its own twist, with angels and Santas but also animals and flowers. On our webshop the brand is listed as Pluto Produkter. For more on how these carousels work, have a look at our tealight carousels.
Angels, nutcrackers and a nativity scene
The angel carousel is our bestseller, on its own or together with presents. Alongside it you'll find nutcrackers with mistletoe, Santas, Christmas jumpers, a pole star and even a nativity scene. Set one on the windowsill or in the middle of the Christmas table and the evening instantly feels more festive. A fan of Miffy? There's a Miffy carousel too, a nice nod to the little Dutch rabbit created by Dick Bruna.
Dachshunds, tulips and bicycles
Not every Pluto carousel has to go back in the box after Christmas. Cats spin alongside dachshunds, frogs, swans and robins, while tulips, bees and butterflies bring a touch of spring. And if you've truly settled into Dutch life, the carousel with bicycles is the obvious choice. Love animals on your tree as well? Take a look at our animal Christmas ornaments.
