Buy Miffy Christmas ornaments at The Christmas Shop
The Miffy Christmas ornaments at The Christmas Shop come from two Dutch makers: Vondels, which hand-paints mouth-blown glass figures, and Royal Delft, which makes disc-shaped ornaments in Delft Blue porcelain. Miffy, the little rabbit created by Dick Bruna, has been a familiar face for generations, and at Christmas she earns her own spot on the tree. Everything is available online or to see in person at our shop in Delft.
Mouth-blown glass Miffy ornaments by Vondels
Vondels is known across the Netherlands for its colourful, mouth-blown glass ornaments, and the Miffy range is no exception. Each piece is hand-painted, so no two glass Miffys are quite alike. The Vondels Miffy ornaments come in plenty of variations: Miffy as an angel, on ice skates, or in a Delft Blue dress. Every ornament arrives in an elegant gift box, and there is a matching Miffy tree topper for the very top of the tree.
Miffy in Delft Blue porcelain by Royal Delft
For Miffy in Delft Blue, Royal Delft is the maker to look for. Their porcelain ornaments carry the recognisable blue that has been hand-painted in Delft for centuries. The Royal Delft Miffy ornaments are disc-shaped: Miffy in a wintry scene on the front, a Christmas tree on the back, and florals, little houses and snowflakes along the edges. They look lovely on their own, and even better among other Delft Blue Christmas ornaments.
Miffy tea light carousels by Pluto
Beyond the tree, there is a Miffy for the table or windowsill too: the tea light carousel by Pluto Produkter. A small candle underneath sets the aluminium spinner turning, so Miffy drifts past with presents and little Christmas trees. The Miffy tea light carousel comes in gold and silver and arrives gift-ready. It is the kind of piece that keeps turning long after the holidays.
Miffy Christmas decorations as a gift or collector's item
Miffy ornaments make an easy gift: recognisable, handmade and accessible at around €20 to €25. Many collectors add one or two new pieces each season. For a baby's first Christmas, the Baby Miffy with bear by Vondels is a keepsake to hold on to. And if you are after something more substantial, the Royal Delft Miffy figure is a standing porcelain piece that looks just as good well beyond December.
