This initiative focuses on protecting hedgehogs in urban areas and helping them survive through winter. Hedgehogs are the unsung heroes of our gardens and landscapes. As insectivores, they keep areas healthy by contributing to natural pest control and supporting the biodiversity around them. However, due to agricultural intensification and urban expansion, their habitats are increasingly threatened, posing significant risks to their survival.
